Poh noes, a flash player! So, I know you kids don’t like streaming, but it’s useful for previewing a track quickly and for those listening on a machine without foobar2000—do ppl still use winamp?

‘‘ I’m a Flash n00b, the pause button should be white.

When you left-click an MP3 link, it should pop-up a new window and start playing, each time you left-click another MP3 it’s added to your playlist. Changing page doesn’t affect playback, so you can browse around adding tracks and you can still download by right-clicking.

For those interested it’s niftyPlayer & FlashMP3alizer.

Feeding Frenzy

next entry

As well as the all encompassing main feed, there are now individual feeds for each category & country (possibly overkill) which can only be located under Categories & Countries on the goods page.

Along with the new feeds I’ve done a little category (tag) tidying, which as well as being listed “in” each post are now alphabetised on the goods page.

This is the 1st ever MP3less post, I’ll try to keep them to a minimum!

Shit Happens

It goes! NearlyFreeSpeech.NET’s building owner (Mr. Dipshit) scheduled a “power maintenance” in the early hours of Sunday morning and neglected to tell them about it… After many hours, countless dead drives and a “very anger verb” they’re back online.

NFSN will remain my host for many years to come, unlike another; anyone willing to work tirelessly around the clock after some switch cowboy knocks them offline to ensure my dumb 0s & 1s can be read by 3 people—on a fucking Sunday no less—is legendary.

So, if you’re looking for next to nothing web hosting for a small site that offers quality of service and an impressive uptime, try NFSN… They don’t have a referrals, I don’t make a penny from them, It’s just a great—zero bullshit—service.

These are for the guy who flicked the on/off switch to no!

× DJ Krush - Kill Switch (feat Aesop Rock)
× Kyuss - Son of a Bitch
× Eagles of Death Metal - Wastin' My Time
× Death from Above 1979 - Losing Friends
× Elbow - Switching Off
× Immaculate Machine - On/Off
× Soundgarden - Switch Opens

P.S. Oh Penny Record #2 is expected some time this week, and all the files above are temporary.

Second colour scheme has arrived!—and is now the default—it’s cleaner than Refrigerator Dust and also less stressful on the peepers; if you’ve just clicked and everything went grey, light it back up. Both colour schemes are fixtures in the footer.

Below are 3 tracks; a favourite from last year by 7 Hertz and 2 from new netlabel releases from Samorost and Jambassa.

+ Samorost - That Fluid Song of the Ocean
+ 7 Hertz - Seasick Suite
+ Jambassa - Playing with the Bottles

download samorost - entropy (free)
buy 7 hertz - tendor almost vulgar (worth every penny)
download jambassa - the roots and the flowers (free)

Lambprey 2

Konnichiwa! Welcome to the new layout, it’s more complex and monochrome than the old, but hopefully just as good. Verse 1.xx hasn’t been completely devoured, a few pieces remain; like those chocolate-coated reindeer hooves from that Scandinavian Gift Hamper you bought at edible.

Beyond the want of a shiny new toy, there was a genuine reason for this digital reshape, but it was so long ago, I’ve forgotten. There's still no commenting, but abuse can be hurled via good old fashioned electronic post; 1 of my addresses is listed around here.

‘‘  Pssst! CTRL + mouse wheel.

To introduce the new facade to the visually impaired, from L2R: ← occasional images + 3s and words [you are here] + fixed nav →

Currently there’s only 1 “colour” scheme, but more will be on their way; production time has grown exponentially due to the Fully Scalable, Handcrafted, Pixelated, Banner Font Thingy — Which at the time seemed like a good idea. Anyway, you’re not here to read…

+ Konntinent - All Lines Lead In
× The Black Keys - 240 Years Before Your Time
+ Black Era - Delete Careful
+ 1000 Hours of Staring - The Cancel Button
+ Aesop Rock - 39 Thieves
+ 65daysofstatic - Retreat! Retreat!
+ Operador de Cabine Polivalente - The Hard Way Out
× Daft Punk - Digital Love

‘‘ It's broken!

At the moment the site’s a little buggy; IE and Opera both have display issues, but fixes will be made, so bear with me. Subscribers to the split feed may notice it isn’t and it won’t be ever again, so you’ll have to live with it; the old URI still works, but you might want to update your feed.
